Filming Erotica
If you and your partner have a video camera and are looking for a great way to spice up your sex life, a sexy video might just be the answer. It beats photography in that you don't have to have an "outsider" develop them and you can watch the result straight away.
Your aim should be to experiment and have fun. If either of you is unhappy about it or feels threatened in any way, don't do it.
For a video to be erotic, it doesn't have to be explicit. Subtle suggestion is the key. The things which the camera is not quite allowed to see can be just as erotic as a gyno-shot or a close up of an erection.
A simple "live" approach might be for the partners to take it in turns to be the video maker while their lover is the subject. Track, pan and tilt over the contours of your partners body. Explore! If you "practise" filming for five minutes before hitting the record button, you'll get a better result. If it takes another ten minutes until all your lovers clothes are eventually off, you will have a scorcher.
For both partners to appear together, place the camera on a tripod or your bedside table. Choose the height you want. Putting the camera at a decent height above you will make the scene look a bit flat when you play it back. The camera which is placed at the side of the bed, if that is where the deed is to be done, will show a fair amount of close up detail but you may find yourself concentrating too much on being in the frame instead of just enjoying the sex. And you don't want to be doing that.
Don't have the main bedroom light blazing. It will wash out all the shadows and get rid of the air of intimacy.
Run the camcorder from the mains if you can. If it's going to be an outside effort, say in the woods or something, make sure you've packed a spare battery.
Unless you love a fight, tell your partner that you've got a camera rolling. If you take the gamble and wait until afterwards to tell them that they have just been caught on film, they may react in an unsavoury way. It might even be your last shag, with them anyway. However, making the film so that it looks as though neither of you know there is a camera there can be sexy to watch. Place something in the way of the lens but not so that it obscures the view too much.
If you really want to go to town, use a soft focus filter, which you can buy from any photography shop. It will transform a video from a cheap and nasty looking cam-flick into a masterpiece.
Play music. It will help you relax and add to the finished film.
If you've got a microphone and a socket on the camera to plug it into, use it. The built in microphones are great but they pick up too much background noise. Put the plugged in microphone next to the bed, on the stairs, on the kitchen bench or where ever it is you're filming. Sound adds soooo much atmosphere. Don't under-rate it.
Above all, have fun!
